How to use brake in a sentence?
In my old style of racing, I used to be in the front most of the time, from my record, but, you know, at my age and haven’t driven, I don’t feel 90. So, hopefully my right foot feels like I’m about 30 or 40 years old and my left foot won’t work very well, won’t push the brake too much.
What we do know is there was a heavy braking event, which appears to be an aborted takeoff. So, we do know that the brakes were effectively working before the aircraft exited the runway, we have approximately 1200 feet of distinguishable heavy braking marks from the tires, looked like they were effectively trying to brake that aircraft.
I'm not going to speculate on what that tapping of the brake could mean. It could mean a lot of different things.
The car was in excellent condition out of storage, all of the original bits were there, no missing parts, only the front end was banged in, so we had to hammer that out because it was simply too ugly. The rest of the paint was dull but intact and all we had to do was get rid of the oxidation, and it came out very decent. The only things that we had to replace ended up being brake lines and a few bits of wiring.
It appeared to have been underwater at some time, it had weird rust, including a rotted-out ashtray and cigarette lighter. The brake lines were badly corroded, as were the steel door bottoms. The interior was shredded and water-damaged.
