How to use spill in a sentence?
Almost 10 years after the BP Deepwater oil spill, offshore drilling is just as dirty and dangerous, despite pledges otherwise, there is still this unacceptable risk of devastating oil spills, and yet there is this call from the Trump administration to expand drilling to new areas and a call to abandon or weaken safety regulations. We should not be expanding drilling.
I share people's concerns about offshore drilling, i remember the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico all too well.
I think one of the important things is to identify in what stage of the process kids are injuring themselves, is it because they're pulling it down themselves from the microwave ? Is it because when they walk they're not coordinated enough and they spill ? Or is it actually when they're eating it that it's tipping ?
We'll see spill after spill if we don't shut down these aging oil platforms and pipelines.
If there's a worse place to look for oil, I don't know what it is, there aren't any proven effective ways of cleaning up an oil spill in the Arctic.
